A mum who hurled her six-day-old baby girl down a 44ft RUBBISH CHUTE while suffering from severe post-natal depression was yesterday (Thurs) jailed for two-and-a-half years. Iraqi-born Jaymin Abdulrahman (corr), 25, claimed she was 'tired and emotional' when she bundled her tiny daughter into a black bin bag and dropped it down a metal waste pipe. The baby, who cannot be named for legal reasons, suffered severe skull and brain injuries after she smashed into a metal plate at the bottom of the chute at 30mph. She was rushed from a block of flats in Wolverhampton to Birmingham Children's Hospital on September 8 last year and after months in intensive care the baby survived. Abdulrahman was found not guilty of attempted murder and causing<br />grievous bodily harm with intent at Birmingham Crown Court. But the jury found her guilty of the lesser charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
