Protesters take to the trees to prevent Metrobus plans going ahead

Protesters against the Bristol Metrobus have climbed up trees in Stapleton allotments to prevent them being cut down.<br /><br />The trees at the Frenchay Park Road site are due to be felled tomorrow as the Bristol Metrobus road development so protesters are spending the night in trees.<br /><br />Food growers and nature lovers the developments are set to destroy a Conservation area in Bristol’s Greenbelt containing wildlife habitat and prime agricultural land.<br /><br /> <br />They are also concerned about the impact on Feed Bristol - an Avon Wildlife Trust community food growing project - that is situated there.<br /><br />Read more at SWNS.com
