More than 175,000 people will cram into the 900-acre Worthy Farm over the five-day event, which will play host to more than 2,000 acts across dozens of stages.<br /><br />With car parks opening from 9pm on Tuesday, cars began arriving throughout the night and fans started queuing in the early hours.<br /><br />Organisers estimate that around 90 per cent of the 135,000 ticket-holders will have set up camp by the end of the day in a bid to get the best camping spots.<br /><br />But while the early arrivals basked in sunshine and and temperatures topping 20 degrees, rain is forecast for later in the week.<br /><br />People have been told prepare for the worst in Pilton, Somerset, with reports of wellies and waterproofs selling out in many stores near the festival site.<br /><br />The first performer on the official line-up was flautist Frei Zinger, on the Croissant Neuf Bandstand at 11am yesterday (Weds).<br /><br />But the major acts do not take to the stage until Friday through to Sunday before the camp closes on Monday evening.<br /><br />Acts this year include Florence and the Machine, James Bay, The Who, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Paloma Faith, George Ezra and Mark Ronson.<br /><br />An army of 40,000 security guards, litter pickers, stewards, volunteers and retailers will also spill onto the site over the next few days.
