ad-of-five Mohammed Tariq, 38, was behind the till of a newsagents when a man dressed all in black with a baseball bat covering his face walked in on Tuesday (7/7).<br />CCTV captures the yob approaching the till and handing over coins to the shop worker to pay for a carton of juice - before hurling the acid at his face.<br />The cowardly thug then launched across the counter at Mr Tariq with a Stanley knife leaving him with two large gashes to his cheek.<br />The suspect sprinted out of the door before making his escape from the Lifestyle Express shop in Tividale, West Mids., at 3.25pm.<br />Mr Tariq was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain from the acid which had burned his face and was also treated for knife wounds.<br />Shop bosses have now released the dramatic footage of the unprovoked attack in a bid to catch the man, who is believed to be in his early 20s.<br />Reliving the terrifying assault yesterday (Fri) Mr Tariq, who has worked at the shop for three years, said: “He looked a bit suspicious when he walked in.<br />"He came over to pay me for a carton of juice and then threw something in my face.
