Russell Moore, 43, was driving wife Jess, 25 (corr), to hospital when they were forced to stop after she felt the baby coming out. The couple pulled over into an Asda car park in Bloxwich, Walsall, West Mids., where Jess gave birth to 9lbs 5oz Maggie-Mae on the front seat of their Vauxhall Vectra. Minutes after the sudden birth, which unfolded at 6.25am last Wednesday (18/5), ambulance crews arrived and took mum and baby to hospital before they were discharged later that day. Incredibly, it was the second time Russell, who drives a bin lorry, was forced to deliver one of his children.
