England captain Steven Gerrard has praised the young players in the England World Cup squad.<br /><br />Speaking at the England Footballers Foundation gala dinner, the Liverpool midfielder refers to players like Ross Barkley, 20, Raheem Sterling, 19, and 18-year-old Luke Shaw as "scary" despite their limited caps and lack of international tournament experience.<br /><br />England's first match in Group D is against Italy on 14 June in the city of Manaus.
