These incredible pictures show an abandoned church which has been reclaimed by nature - just a short distance from a busy city centre.

St Cohan's church in Merther, near Truro, Cornwall, was built around 1370, but at some stage around 1900 it was abandoned.

It is believed it was left to crumble as the cost of repairs soared, and a wooden shed-like creation was put over the church bells instead of restoring the bell tower.

The church has now stood vacant for more than 100 years and has ivy growing over and throughout the brick work.
