A dog was saved from freezing to death after being rescued by hero cops. <br /><br />The mixed breed greyhound was abandoned at the side of the road in rural Cambridgeshire as the light was 'fading' fast. <br /><br />He would have almost certainly perished as the temperatures plummeted into minus figures overnight on Sunday. <br /><br />But luckily, the fawn coloured mongrel was found by officers from the Beds, Cambs & Herts Roads Policing Unit,
