These bemused dogs were transfixed when they went on their daily walk and a huge monitor lizard emerged from a swamp.<br /><br />Piyakul Nernchamras took his three pet pooches out when they crowded around the pond in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand.<br /><br />He said: "We were passing that little pond and my dogs starting to sniff around the edge of the water. Then this humungous monitor lizard just appeared.<br /><br />''Everyone seems to be in shocked at first for the size of the animal, especially my dogs. They were amazed that the lizard just appeared right next to them. <br /><br />"Eventually, the lizard retreated back underwater. It is like a monster that lives in the swamp.''
