<br /> Facebook’s Head of News Products announced they are ending the 'Trending News' section.<br />According to Alex Hardiman, users found that section of their product to be less and less useful over time.<br />But Facebook plans to replace it with a 'Breaking News' section that will include live-stream news coverage.<br />The revised section will focus on linking to articles from trustworthy and quality sources.<br />Trending News was introduced to Facebook as Trends API back in 2014. <br />
