Demonstrators gathered outside Downing Street this afternoon (June 3) to protest knife crime in the UK. <br /><br />People from all across the country gathered to lay shoes outside the prime minister's residence to represent lives lost to knives.<br /><br />Crime involving knives rose across England and Wales in 2018. <br /><br />In London, stabbings have increased by 21 percent this year, according to figures by the Metropolitan Police.
