Saudi Arabia issued its first driving licenses to ten women on Monday, just weeks before a ban on female driving is lifted.<br /> They swapped their foreign licenses with domestic ones and about two thousand other women are expected to do the same next week.<br />The move came amid some doubt the kingdom would go ahead with the lifting of the ban following a government crackdown on women activists who advocated their right to drive. <br />Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been pushing for more open policies towards women to reshape Saudi Arabia ultra-conservative image. <br />
