Science teacher Jacob Strickling ignited 40 gas-filled balloons at a school in Sydney to celebrate his alma mater's 40th anniversary.<br /><br />The video, shot on May 29 at Covenant Christian School, shows Strickling torching balloon after balloon lined up on a horizontal pole. The display culminated in the ignition of a large green balloon, not before putting on a pair of safety goggles and pulling out a retractable stick that would allow him to bring the flame to the balloon from a more guarded distance. Cheers of excitement can be heard from the students in the audience.<br /><br />Strickling is known for conducting explosive experiments, some of which can be found on his educational YouTube channel, Make Science Fun.
