<p>New South Wales police on June 6 charged a 20-year-old Liverpool mother with the “alleged repeated poisoning” of her 18-month-old baby boy in January.</p><p>The woman was arrested at a Lurnea home following investigations into the near-fatal Tegretol overdose of the child, who was not prescribed the drug. Tegretol is used in the treatment of epilepsy and neuropathic pain.</p><p>The woman was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with seven counts of using poison to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.
