<p>A property owner’s CCTV cameras recorded the catastrophic flooding which hit Ellicott City, Maryland on May 27 after heavy rainfall.</p><p>Ron Peters’ cameras captured the flooding in the historic Main Street corridor. He had installed a US$13,000 network of cameras to keep tabs on three properties he owns there, the Baltimore Sun reported</a>. He gave Howard County officials access to the live feeds and they used the footage to help them target specific crisis areas when the flooding hit, the newspaper reported.</p><p>The National Weather Service issued</a> a flash flood warning on May 27.
