Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky has been recalled.<br />Early results show voters voted to recall the controversial judge.<br />If successful, it would be the first time since 1932 that voters in California recalled a sitting justice.<br />Nearly 59 percent of voters agreed that Persky should be recalled.<br />Persky gained national notoriety in June 2016.<br />He sentenced former Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner to six months in jail for sex assault. <br />
