Guatemala's national disaster agency says it is suspending search efforts in areas devastated by the eruption of the Fuego volcano, the death toll of which now stands at 100.<br /> The agency said Thursday that conditions are too dangerous for rescue workers to continue their search for survivors. <br />Nearly 200 people are still missing<br />The announcement angered residents, some of whom took matters into their own hands by conducting their own search operation in the lava-ravaged area.<br /> Meanwhile, Guatemala's public prosecutor said it's opening an investigation into whether evacuation protocols were followed properly in Sunday's eruption, which caught many residents off guard with little time to evacuate. <br />
