<br /> <p>Jacob Campoamor was out fishing with his family off the coast of Anna Maria Island in Florida on Saturday, June 2, when they spotted a group of five whale sharks in the water.</p><p>Campoamor, whose family has owned a home on the island for 50 years, told FLKeysNews</a>, “We see a lot of cool stuff, but this is the first time seeing whale sharks.”</p><p>Researchers in Florida have called on the public to report further sightings.
