Katie Holmes leads the pack as she runs in New York City event commemorating Global Running Day.<br /><br />Katie Holmes ran at the front of the pack in New York City on Wednesday as part of a Westin Hotels & Resorts event for Global Running Day.<br />The 39-year-old actress had her brunette locks in a pixie 'do as she wore an ash grey T-shirt and grey leggings with blue trainers in the group run.<br />The Toledo, Ohio native, speaking to Shape magazine, said she's always made ample time for fitness on her feet.<br />'I try to stay in shape,' she said Wednesday. 'I ran the New York City Marathon in 2007, and I've been running since I was a little girl.
