Venison T-Bones On The Otto Wilde Grill<br /><br />How To Cook Venison T-Bone Steaks Recipe On The Otto Wilde Grill. The Otto Wilde Grill is an overhead broiler that allows you to get a perfect sear on steak - a restaurant style steak - it's how to cook a high end steak... it's a steak machine! First we head down to Sanagan's meat locker to pick up the Venison T-Bone Steaks, and then head home to grill them perfectly. Venison can be a little finicky to cook right... but I think we got it bang on!<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />For the Venison:<br />1-2 T-Bone venison steaks<br />Salt & Pepper to taste<br />For the Veg:<br />1-2 quartered carrots<br />Handful of green beens<br />Salt & Pepper to taste<br />Splash of olive oil<br /><br /><br /><br />Method:<br />Season the T-Bones and allow to come up to room temperature - about an hour.<br />Prep the veg and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.<br />Pre heat the Otto Wilde O.F.B. grill to 1500°F/900°C - takes about 3 minutes or so.<br />Dab the steak surface to remove any moisture, this will help form a great crust.<br />Place in the O.F.B. at Meat-O-Meter on stage 1 and sear on both sides for about 35-40 seconds.<br />Once a nice crust forms, reduce the heat a bit and lower to Meat-o-Meter stage 5.<br />Let them rest here until the steaks have reached your desired temperature / doneness.<br />Rare 130 to 135°F, Medium Rare 140°F.<br />Remove steak to a cutting board and allow to rest while you grill off the veg.<br />Place the veg in the O.F.B. at Meat-O-Meter on stage 1 and grill for 1-2 minutes.<br />Turn the veg if necessary, once a nice crust forms, reduce the heat a bit and lower to Meat-o-Meter stage 5.<br />Let them rest here until the veg reaches the desired level of doneness.<br /><br />Serves 1-2<br /><br />music by : soundcloud.com/jeff-kaale<br />Instagram : www.instagram.com/jeffkaale/<br />twitter : https://twitter.com/jeff_kaale
