According to Reuters, a union representing factory workers at the Detroit Three automakers elected a new president.<br />The United Auto Workers elected regional director Gary Jones to lead the union ahead of contract negotiations in 2019.<br />With declining auto sales in the US, contract negotiations with General Motors, Ford, and Fiat Chrysler are expected to be tough for the UAW.<br />But the union is also facing an investigation by the Justice Department over spending at union training centers. <br />
