According to UPI, a new study found a correlation between the onset of type 2 diabetes after 50, and pancreatic cancer.<br />Conducted by USC's Keck School of Medicine, the study included almost 16,000 diabetes patients over 20 years.<br />Over those two decades, 408 participants developed pancreatic cancer, including 128 with type 2 diabetes.<br />According to Dr. Wendy Setiawan, the study's lead author, African Americans and Hispanics were at the highest risk.<br />Dr. Setiawan added that those minority groups were twice as likely to develop pancreatic cancer if they had diabetes as well. <br />
