Jacksonville Restaurant Responds After Customer Shares Video of Maggots in Food

<p>A Jacksonville restaurant has responded to a video shared to Facebook on June 12, which shows maggots crawling in food that is claimed to have come from its kitchen.</p><p>Keondora A White</a> shared the video to her Facebook account after she ordered takeout from Caribbean Sunrise Bakery and Restaurant</a>, alleging that she found maggots in the dish.</p><p>Caribbean Sunrise Bakery and Restaurant initially responded in a now-deleted Facebook post</a>, stating that “all foods that could have been compromised have been discarded, and all uncooked foods are being inspected before cooking.”</p><p>However, owner Denise Daley has since spoken to local media</a> about the incident, saying “if it did happen it was an isolated incident.”</p><p>The footage had over 100,000 views at the time of writing.
