California Dam Breach Threat Downgraded as Repairs Done

<p>Officials continued to monitor a dam at Little Washoe Lake in Nevada on Monday, June 18, after fears the dam could breach. An alert has been downgraded from imminent threat to a watch, a news report said</a>.</p><p>Workers were fortifying the dam on Monday afternoon and had made significant progress by the evening. The problems were discovered during an inspection of the dam.</p><p>If the dam were to breach, it would cause low-level flooding in the Steamboat Creek area.
