<br /> A Detective told the court that the stop button could have halted the ride in two seconds.<br />The female operator had been told during training "not to worry about the button."<br />There was also a main control panel nearby with a “slow” stop button.<br />During the accident, she signaled to the main control panel to use the “slow” stop.<br />Senior Constable Steven Cornish said that the main button might have prevented the deaths. <br />
