<p>The sound of explosions rocked the Gaza Strip and neighboring areas of southern Israel after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Hamas</a> traded strikes late Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning.</p><p>Palestinian media reported Hamas forces launched at least 10 rockets</a> and a “number of rocket-propelled grenades”</a> after IDF aircraft targeted a Hamas base on June 19.</p><p>Hamas later launched 30 rockets into Israel from Gaza, according to the IDF</a>. The IDF targeted 25</a> targets in Gaza in response. Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted at least seven</a> of the Hamas rockets.</p><p>The Hamas-affiliated Shebab News Agency reported at least four people were injured in the strikes on the Gaza Strip.
