This is the moment a scooter rider has a miraculous escape after colliding with a car at high speed. <br /><br />The rider somersaults through air and lands painfully but manages to sit up the very moment after a collision. <br /><br />The incident took place in Mangalore in South India on June 18. <br /><br />A CCTV footage of the incident shows a car making a U-turn on a busy road and coming in the way of a scooter. <br /><br />The rider, who is speeding, is unable to stop his scooter and crashes into the car. Under the impact, he is flung across the car. <br /><br />The man, who has not been identified, managed to sit up on his own and was rushed to a hospital. Doctors examined him and declared that he had suffered only minor injuries. <br /><br />Residents of the area said the road leading to the local airport had been witnessing frequent accidents and urged officials to make it safer.<br /><br />Anil Fernandes, 42, a resident of nearby Bondel said: “We will block the road in protest if the officials continue to act indifferent.”<br /><br />A senior traffic police officer, Manjunath Shetty, said he was familiar with the problems of the road and would be soon installing speed-breakers and barricades to regulate traffic.
