<p>Cody, a young flying fox, had ripped out a large section of his cheek and was in a fragile state after an accident with a barbed wire fence. However, bat-rescuer Denise Wade knew what to do.</p><p>“Although his initial injuries were not pretty, we knew that given the right treatment and time in care, he would heal,” explained Denise.
