Cuenca Cathedral is a Gothic church in the city of Cuenca in south-eastern central Spain. It's based on Norman Gothic from Northern Europe that begun in 1196. <br />According to information available, the wife of King Alfonso VIII, inspired this cathedral. <br /> It was the Romanesque style that dominated the Christian peninsula around the time the cathedral was constructed.
