<p>Melbourne Zoo welcomed a baby spider monkey to their family on Saturday, June 16, the first of the endangered species to be born at the zoo in seven years.</p><p>The zoo said</a> mum, Isobella, was exhausted by the process but her “superb” maternal instincts kicked in. The father, Oren, remained by his new family’s side for days after the birth.</p><p>The tiny monkey was yet to be named, with keepers at the zoo explaining it was clinging too closely to its mother for them to identify its gender.
