U.S. President Donald Trump has extended economic sanctions against North Korea for another year,... saying its nuclear weapons threat is "unusual and extraordinary."<br />Trump notified Congress of his decision on Friday.<br />The White House has extended the sanctions every year, since they were first imposed in 2008. <br />The move comes despite the recent thaw in North Korea-U.S. relations after the two leaders met in Singapore for their historic summit. <br />
