How to Hide Files and Folders on Windows 7 , 8, 8.1, 10 Operating System<br /><br />How To Hide A Folder In Windows 8?<br /><br />Step 1: For this tutorial purpose, I am creating a folder with the name “Test” in “My Documents” folder in my computer.<br /><br />Step 2: Now to turn the “Hidden” attribute on, right-click on the folder and select the “Properties” option from the list.<br /><br />Step 3: Once done, the properties window will open up. In that under the “General” tab check the box named “Hidden” and click on “OK”.<br />Step 4: Now the folder will disappear from public view.<br />That’s it. You can follow this method to hide any number of folders in your Windows 8 computer.<br />Now lets check out the way to get back the hidden folders.<br /><br />Step 5: To get back the hidden folders, go to the “View” tab in Windows Menu and click on Options to open “Folder Options“.<br /><br />Step 6: In that window, choose the “View” tab and under the “Hidden files and folders” option, select “Show hidden files, folders, or drives”.<br /><br />Step 7: Now click on “Apply” and then click on “OK” button.<br />That’s it. Now you have the hidden folders will be view-able for all users of your Windows 8 computer.
