Ride-sharing app Uber has been granted a 15-month probationary license to operate in London after a court overturned a ban imposed last year.<br /> Transport for London refused to renew Uber's operating license last September, citing it was not doing enough to safeguard the public, such as conducting thorough background checks on drivers.<br />After a two-day hearing on Tuesday, Uber's lawyers convinced the Westminster Magistrates' Court that the firm had addressed the TfL's concerns and cleaned up its act. <br />
