Hundreds of mosquitoes hover above trees like eerie, thin plumes of smoke in this video filmed in central China.<br /><br />The video, captured in Wuhan City in Hubei Province on June 24, shows swarms of mosquitoes flying over the tops of trees, resembling black smoke rising into the air.<br /><br />Local media said that the insects had been resting in shade during the daytime because of the high temperatures and took flight during the evening as the temperatures cooled.<br /><br />The phenomenon lasted for 30 minutes, according to reports.
