On February 6th, The Gambia launched its National Development Plan (NDP) 2018-2021. The launch event was held in the State House in Banjul, and speeches were made by the Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs; the EU Ambassador to The Gambia; the ECOWAS Ambassador; the UN Resident Coordinator; and, the President of The Gambia. You can watch the speech of EU Ambassador Lajos in the video below.<br /><br />The NDP follows the motto "delivering good governance and accountability, social cohesion, and national reconciliation and a revitalized and transformed economy for the wellbeing of all Gambians". It consists of 8 strategic priorities and 7 cross-cutting critical enablers ranging from restoring good governance to modernising agriculture and fisheries. <br /><br />The EU Delegation in Banjul now looks forward to further cooperating with The Gambia in achieving the ambitions of the country's National Development Plan!
