R has smashed the outright record for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.<br /><br />At the hands of Romain Dumas, a double Le Mans and now four-times Pikes Peak winner, the all-electric I.D. R covered the 12.42-mile course in 7 minutes, 57.148 seconds.
