The South Korean Red Cross has selected 250 separated families to take part in the upcoming joint reunion events to be held from August 20th to 26th. <br /> It explained Monday that it has finalized the list from 500 randomly-picked candidates based on their health conditions and willingness to reunite with their family members north of the border. <br />The list will be delivered to the North in the coming hours.<br />North Korea will then begin its own process of confirming whether the candidates' relatives in the North are alive and available to participate in the reunions. <br />
