<p>Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was charged with corruption offense linked with the scandal-tainted state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), at a court in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday morning, July 4.</p><p>The disgraced politician faces</a> three counts of criminal breach of trust and one abuse of power, after spending the night in detention. He was arrested at his private residence on Tuesday afternoon.</p><p>Each charge</a> carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.</p><p>The video, shared online on July 4, shows the media scrum that greeted the former prime minister on his arrival at the court house.</p><p>For the past three years, Najib has been dogged by allegation that funds from Malaysia’s 1MDB sovereign wealth fund were siphoned off.
