Kal Yafai still dreams of a huge world title unification fight with Roman Gonzalez despite the latter losing his crown.<br /><br />Hometown hero Yafai defends the WBA super flyweight crown in the main event against Japan’s Suguru Muranaka at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on Saturday night.<br /><br />It’s a first fight for the 27-year-old Brummie since becoming champion and he wants all of the belts in the division long-term.<br /><br />Nicaraguan Gonzalez, a four-weight world title winner, had been ranked as the world’s pound-for-pound best until his first-ever pro defeat in March.<br /><br />Unfancied Thai puncher Srisaket Sor Rungvisai stunned Gonzalez through a majority decision at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States, to take his WBC honours.<br /><br />Sor Rungvisai, Yafai, Jerwin Ancajas (IBF) and Naoya Inoue (WBO) are now the super flyweights to beat and the Englishman among the lot reckons he can see off all comers.<br /><br />Yafai believes Gonzalez will invoke his rematch clause and beat Sor Rungvisai the second time around, which would renew his interest in him.<br /><br />First comes Muranaka on the Matchroom Boxing bill, live on Sky Sports.
