Joe Hughes has vowed to rip the title from long-standing British super lightweight champion Tyrone Nurse and warned he’s not to be underestimated. <br /><br />Hughes has given up the English belt for a shot at Nurse, who should be in his Lonsdale belt fight but hasn’t made his mandatory defences. <br /><br />The 26-year-old from Wiltshire will get his opportunity on Saturday night at the Leicester Arena, live on BoxNation and BT Sport.<br /><br />The two clashed in the amateur ranks and Nurse prevailed on points, but Hughes warned this will be a completely different fight 10 years on.<br /><br />He feels he’s been written off, with Nurse planning to fight in Leeds on May 13 if he comes through this title test.<br /><br />Hughes wants to ruin his plans for the foreseeable future and told Seconds Out reporter Craig Birch that Nurse is in for a shock.
