So try this recipe at home and share your feedback with us in the comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients for the masala:<br />1 tbsp Coriander seeds<br />1 tsp Cumin seeds<br />6 Garlic Cloves<br />Cherry-sized Tamarind<br />10 Dry Red Chillies<br />1/2 Fresh Coconut, grated<br />1/2 tsp Turmeric powder<br />Water as required<br /><br />Ingredients for Curry:<br />4 tbsp Coconut Oil<br />1 Large Onion, finely chopped<br />1 Inch Ginger, finely chopped<br />1 Tomato, finely chopped<br />Masala<br />1/2 litre Water<br />1 Cup Coconut Milk<br />10-12 Curry leaves<br />1/2 kg Prawns, deveined & shelled<br />Salt<br /><br />Method for masala:<br />In a mixer jar add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, tamarind, red chilies, coconut, turmeric powder, water, grind it to a nice fine paste and our Masala is ready.<br /><br />Method for Curry:<br />In a vessel heat oil, add onion, ginger, saute them till the onions are pink and soft.<br />Add tomato, saute them till they are nice and mushy.<br />Add the ground masala and saute till it changes color.<br />Add water, coconut milk, curry leaves, prawns, salt and cook it for 4-5 minutes.<br />Switch off the flame and plate the dish.<br />Our Prawn Ambotik is ready to be served.
