At least 33 people have died in a heat wave that has been baking the southern part of the Canadian province of Quebec for a nearly a week.<br /> It marks the worst heat Quebec has seen in decades, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius along with high humidity. <br />The death toll has been rising daily, with most victims aged between 50 and 80.<br />Most of the fatalities were reported in Montreal, the most populous city in the province. <br />Heat warnings will remain in effect for city through Thursday night, when a cold front is expected to pass into the region. <br />
