According to Earther, EPA administrator Scott Pruitt has resigned.<br />President Donald Trump tweeted on July 5th that he accepted the resignation of the EPA's chief administrator.<br />Although Trump characterized Pruitt's tenure at the EPA as outstanding, the administrator became heavily scrutinized at his post due to cascading ethics scandals.<br />For now, EPA deputy administrator Andrew Wheeler will serve as the interim chief. <br />
