'Wanna Play?' Chucky's Coming Back in a 'Child's Play' Reboot It’s been 30 years since Tom Holland’s original Child’s Play hit theaters. MGM has fast-tracked a remake and tapped Polaroid director Lars Klevberg to helm the reboot. Video game writer Tyler Burton Smith will write the script. Child's Play was the first of a seven-movie franchise that told the story of Chucky. The toy doll was possessed by the soul of a serial killer.<br /> His iconic phrase, "Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play?" gave chills to audiences at the time! The reboot begins filming in Vancouver this September.
