<p>A growing brush fire in Alpine, California, burned multiple homes as it spread rapidly over 350 acres along Interstate 8 on July 6, according to Fox 5 San Diego</a>.</p><p>The Cleveland National Forest</a> also said homes were lost due to the blaze, dubbed the West Fire.</p><p>Evacuations were ordered</a> after the fire began to spread along Interstate 8, according to NBC Bay Area</a>.</p><p>Cal Fire reported</a> that the fire was zero-percent contained and was growing at a “critical rate of speed.”</p><p>Power lines in the area were damaged and 3,000 customers lost electricity, according to the San Diego Union Tribune</a>.
