<p>Thousands of sea turtles have landed on beaches on Mexico’s Pacific coast at the start of their nesting season.</p><p>Mexico’s National Commission of Natural Protected Areas ( CONANP) shared video on Twitter on July 6 showing the olive ridley sea turtle landing on Morro Ayuta beach in Oaxaca to lay their eggs. CONANP said in a statement</a> it was working with other Mexican government agencies to monitor and secure the beaches during the nesting season.</p><p>The International Union for Conservation of Nature</a> currently ranked the olive ridley sea turtle as a vulnerable species.
