<p>A father-son day out took an unexpected turn, after they witnessed the daring rescue operation of a dog, which had come to grief at Redwood Falls’ Ramsey Park.</p><p>The dog had fallen into the high, rushing waters on July 7, as onlookers called emergency services. Firefighters arrived soon after to winch the dog to safety.</p><p>Matt Anderson, who filmed this footage, said: “Ran to the falls hung off a tree cliff side, to see the dog sitting or clenching on for dear life on a rock. I called authorities as one arrived. The local firefighters arrived as they were setting up seemed like forever as we watched on a rock by the falls looking over the dog.
