A London pub rebranded itself as the “Trump Arms” before President Donald Trump begins his visit to the UK on July 12.<br /><br />In the video, Damien Smyth, the landlord of the Jameson pub in west London, explains the name change:<br /><br />“There was so much negative publicity about Trump’s visit, it was just too much,” Smyth said. “It’s disgraceful with this balloon downtown. It’s not acceptable.”<br /><br />“The British people and the Americans and the Irish are friends,” Smyth continued. “Nobody would like it if there was a balloon put up in Washington or New York of Theresa May or the Queen.”<br /><br />“This is the only place that has put their head up,” Smyth said. “Somebody had to do it.”
