Transport minister Anthony Loke said the e-hailing service needs to meet taxi standards to create a level playing field between both industries.<br /><br />The e-hailing industry has to meet taxi industry standards, including:<br /><br />- Drivers must obtain public service vehicle (PSV) licenses and undergo a criminal background check.<br /><br />- Vehicles registered more than three years must have annual Puspakom inspections.<br /><br />- Vehicles registered more than three years must have annual Puspakom inspections.
