한국인 해외이동 감소…유학도 줄었다

Last year saw fewer South Koreans going to live abroad than any year since 2004.
According to Statistics Korea, there were 6-hundred-8-thousand South Koreans emigrating -- that's defined as staying abroad for longer than 90 days.
The number has been falling since 2008 when it hit a high of 750-thousand.
And possibly a symptom of Korea's record-low birthrate -- the number of Koreans younger than 10 who emigrated last year fell to 20-thousand -- half the number in 2007.
An official attributed the ternd to the fact that fewer parents want to send their children overseas for early education.
Meanwhile, the number of foreigners coming into the country to stay long term... increased on year by 4-point-2 percent.
